Kim Green, Author Writing/Life Coach
Owner, Blank Page Consulting
Kim Green has spent the first half of her career as a prolific writer in the entertainment industry. She has written everything from award-winning copy to a New York Times Bestselling memoir of R&B superstar, Fantasia Barrino. As a music journalist, Green’s writing has appeared in Essence, The Source, Mode Magazine, Paper, The Philadelphia Tribune and UK publications, i-D and The Wire. Her countless celebrity interviews have included legends; George Clinton, Isaac Hayes, Al Jarreau, Rickie Lee Jones, Patti Labelle, Queen Latifah, Tupac Shakur, David Byrne and Harry Connick Jr.
Kim has also written two novels, hallucination and Vicissitudes (Transgress Press). Her recently released collection of memoir and social commentary blogs is called, Isolation.
After decades of working closely with creative people and knowing the creative challenge of self-doubt, Kim was inspired to get her education at the Institute of Life Coach Training (ILCT) where she received her coaching credentials. She says, “Blank Page Consulting was designed to propel writers to overcome their obstacles by tapping into their deepest truths.”
After working with countless authors, she has observed that by writing about their lives, clients recognized that through writing they experienced healing that they didn’t know they needed. From her own experience writing helped her overcome the death of her mother as a teenager; a life-threatening diagnosis; single parenting; and two divorces, she knows firsthand that writing heals. Teaming up with Licensed Therapist and former client, Marcia Williams, LPC, the two have created a perfectly balanced experience grounded in using writing as a vessel to overcome traumatic experiences and having emotional support so that guests can see their path forward to true happiness and peace.
